Laureline Latour - Founder & editor-in-chief

Laureline Latour (she/her) founded Women In Art Magazine in July 2022 from a desire to bring together artists from different countries. She studied German and Russian ab initio at Oxford University. She enjoys writing poetry and discovering women artists.

Assya Hamdani She/Her

creative writing editor (French)

Assya is a postgraduate student in English literature. She specialises in post colonial literatures and has written a master's thesis on the aesthetics of veiling in Salman Rushdie's early fiction.

In her free time, she enjoys obsessively writing down every piece of information she can collect as well as archiving insignificant moments.

Interests : Algerian literature and documentaries, female Arab writers, the female gaze in photography and other trinkets.

Irina Radulet

Irina Husti-Radulet is a second-year History and English student at The Queen's College, Oxford. She is an art critic for The Oxonian Review, and has published poems in The Isis Magazine.

Away from her studies, she enjoys both creative and critical writing, and hopes to pursue a career in the realm of culture.

Caroline Turner She/Her

Caroline is a postgraduate student in Philosophy at the University of Oxford. She had a particular interest in ancient moral philosophy.

Caroline enjoys writing short stories that draw on philosophical themes. She also enjoys attending art exhibitions and plays.

Alexandra Hedström-Blake She/Her

poetry editor (English)

Alexandra grew up in Sweden and spent the past five years living and studying in England. She is currently studying German and history at the University of Oxford.

According to her, poetry does not exist with a capital P, but it is where everything comes to life.

Izzy Lucas She/Her

Izzy is a second-year English Literature student at the University of Oxford.

She loves reading every book she can get her hands on, no matter how bad or whacky they may be. She also loves to go on nice long walks, sing, and listen to all kinds of music, from Sufjan Stevens to Taylor Swift.

Anya Rouveyre She/Her

Anya is a 19 year old student at Panthéon-Assas University where she studies French and German law.

In her free time she enjoys reading, writing and is obsessed with fashion and food (and Tiktok to be honest).

Fernanda Baronti She/Her

Fernanda is a second-year student at Sorbonne University in Paris. She studies what she is passionate about : literature and communication.

She enjoys writing and filming artistic videos to express herself. She also loves travelling and discovering different cultures.

Beau Boka-Batesa They/Them

Beau is a 19 year old french student and climate justice activist from London, UK.

In their free time, they write poems and small monologues.

Esmé Gilbert She/Her

Esmé is a 20 year old illustrator and painter. She is currently studying adult nursing at the University of Brighton.

In her free time she enjoys painting, crocheting and going for swims at the local beaches.

Victoria Bérisot She/Her

Victoria is a queer artist. Her work focuses on queer desire, intimacy, intimate subjects, vulnerability and sensibility all surrounded in the aesthetic of detail oriented work, inspired by art nouveau, featuring gold embellishments and focus on composition.

Outside of her illustration work, she enjoys sewing, printmaking, bookbinding and being in the comfort of her own bed.

Kateřina Panešová She/Her

Kateřina is an amateur artist from Czechia. She studies Mathematics at Oxford.

In her artwork, she focuses on humans, especially faces and hands, and she tries to capture the state of mind. Through her art, she wants to raise awareness on mental health and mental illness. Her paintings are deeply personal to her.

In her free time, Kateřina enjoys hiking and being with friends.

Olivia Omotajo

Olivia is a second year English student at the University of Oxford. Her art frequently explores the theme of "wounded creatures" : from the fallen angel to risen evil.

When times stops running and starts to amble, you will find her hobbies very much overlap with the hobbies of a cat: napping on warm floors, people watching from a tall vantage point, and kneading bread for loaves.

Faye Song She/Her

Faye is currently studying Biology at Oxford. She uses illustrating as a creative outlet and as an opportunity to engage with different pieces of writing.

Outside of this, she enjoys taking photos.
